Features / Engines & fingerprints

Two engines. One consistent identity.

Run each profile on the Browz engine, a Chromium build with a control for every surface a website can read, or on your own installed Google Chrome with a lighter set of controls.

01

The Browz engine: a control for every surface.

Each surface a site can read has three settings. Auto derives a value that fits the rest of the profile. Custom pins the value you choose. Real passes through this computer’s own value. Reseed a profile’s fingerprint with one button.

  • Auto, Custom or Real per surface
  • Values derived together so they don’t contradict
  • Port-scan protection and canvas blocking
02

Consistent, not random.

A fingerprint full of random values is easy to spot because the values disagree with each other. Browz derives a profile’s values together from a real device type and a seed, and keeps them stable from one session to the next.

  • Stable across restarts
  • Timezone and languages follow the exit
  • Coherence warnings when a setting contradicts another
03

Installed Chrome: your own Google Chrome.

For profiles where you want the real, signed Google Chrome on your computer, Installed Chrome runs it with Browz’s storage isolation and proxy handling. It controls CPU cores, timezone, languages and colour profile; everything else stays native. It is experimental, on macOS and Windows.

  • The real Google Chrome, updated by Google
  • CPU cores, timezone, languages, colour profile
  • Explicit, backed-up profile upgrades

What we measure

Honest about what a browser can promise.

We publish the results of our own testing, including the limits. Configurations on one machine are not separate physical devices, and no browser can guarantee that a website will never link two accounts.

FAQ

About engines.

Which engine should I use?

The Browz engine, for most profiles: it gives you a control for every surface. Use Installed Chrome when you specifically want the real Google Chrome installed on your computer, and fewer controls are acceptable.

Do I need Google Chrome installed?

Only for Installed Chrome profiles. The Browz engine ships inside the app.

Can I set an exact value for a surface?

Yes. Set any surface to Custom and choose the value, or use Real to pass through your computer’s own.
